Giddings RV Inspection: What We Found on a 2025 Brinkley Model G 3950
A newer RV can have an impressive interior and still have concerns that deserve attention before delivery. During this Giddings RV inspection, Cozy Camper Mobile RV Services documented deteriorating roof sealant, contact between a slideout hydraulic piston and the frame, and a curved slideout gear rack frame on a 2025 Brinkley Model G 3950.
Our January 23, 2026 inspection in Giddings, Texas, also identified missing slideout sealing components, an unsupported generator exhaust termination, and several smaller condition issues. The report gave the client specific findings to discuss with the seller and a list of items that still needed testing.

Deteriorating Roof Sealant Created a Water-Intrusion Concern
On the roof, we documented deteriorating lap sealant at several locations, including the front cap and a plumbing vent. The report included this condition among the major findings because compromised sealant could allow water intrusion.
The visible condition warranted evaluation and correction by a qualified RV technician. The finding identified a potential entry point for water; it did not establish that hidden water damage was already present.
For the client, the photos provided specific locations to discuss with the seller rather than a general request to “check the roof.”

The Rear Slideout Mechanism Needed Further Evaluation
At the streetside rear slideout, we documented two concerns with the mechanism:
The hydraulic piston was in direct contact with the frame at its opening.
The front gear rack frame curved slightly upward, while the other rack frames appeared straight.
Both observations were included in the report’s major findings and warranted further evaluation by a qualified technician.
The inspection documented the visible contact and difference in shape. It did not establish their cause or determine which repairs would be necessary. Those questions required follow-up before treating the slideout system as ready for delivery.

Missing Slideout Components Added Another Sealing Concern
At the streetside front slideout, white foam bumpers were missing from several slide racks.
The report flagged the missing components as a condition that could allow water intrusion.
This was a separate finding from the rear slideout mechanism concerns. It gave the client another specific area to have evaluated and corrected.
A slideout inspection involves more than checking whether the room moves. Accessible seals, racks, and surrounding components can reveal concerns that are easy to miss during a walkthrough.

Exterior and Underbelly Findings Needed Attention
The inspection also documented an unsupported generator exhaust termination, a wide gap between the garage fuel pump area and the sidewall, and an unprotected opening in the underbelly.

These findings gave the client additional items to discuss with a qualified technician. The report did not establish a fuel leak, exhaust leak, or concealed damage at these locations.
We also found moisture inside the bottom backup-light lens and peeling lenses on the front cap lights.
Smaller Findings Helped Complete the Repair List
Inside and around the RV, the report documented:
A missing cotter pin at the rear grab bar.
A keypad showing a low-battery warning, along with scratches and residue.
A loose hallway window frame across from the bathroom.
Noise from the cabinetry above the microwave when closing.
Discoloration on several interior surfaces, including the bathroom wall, bedroom door, and flooring.
These items differed in urgency from the roof and slideout concerns, but documenting them helped the client prepare a more complete list of questions and requested corrections.
What Still Needed Testing Before Delivery
Access and preparation limited several parts of this inspection:
Rear main awning: The parking location prevented full extension.
Rear patio and patio awning: The patio could not be extended because the RV was too close to a building; the patio awning was also listed as not inspected.
Garage fuel pump: No fuel was available for testing.
Gray and black tank gate valves: No wastewater connection or sewer hose fittings were provided.
Spare tire age: The DOT date could not be visually verified.
These were unresolved checks for follow-up before delivery. Their operation or condition could not be confirmed during the inspection.
What This Giddings RV Inspection Gave the Client
The inspection provided documented findings to support the client’s next steps: address the roof sealant, have the rear slideout mechanism evaluated, replace missing sealing components as appropriate, and complete the remaining tests.
The report supplied photos, observations, and recommendations for discussions with the seller. It did not document subsequent repairs or the final purchase decision.
