As a Texas RV inspector serving Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Fort Worth, I hear this almost daily during RV inspections. Buyers specifically request older units thinking they’re avoiding problems. The assumption is simple: older RV equals better RV quality.
But is that actually true?
The Reality of RV Quality in Texas Inspections
After performing RV inspections across San Antonio, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, New Braunfels, and surrounding Texas markets, one pattern is clear:
